Standard windows sit about 30cm below the ceiling, but using fullheight ones is a fantastic small-space trick, says Angela Jamison of Jamison Architects. “A standard room height of 2400mm will appear much bigger with windows of 2400mm,” she says. “You can use a similar trick by taking the doors higher than the standard 2100mm.” If your home enjoys panoramic views, fulllength windows are a no-brainer, but they can be an effective tool in any home, opening onto the back garden or an internal courtyard.
