What is your best renovating advice? Dezley: “Make a house a home with character, which can come from furnishings or interesting architectural elements. A house has to tell a story.” Favourite homewares store in the area? “For the best local vintage store, I go to The Old Boathouse in Brisbane. I’ve purchased quite a few eclectic pieces from there.” What are you always on the lookout for? “A character piece – it has to have a point of interest and I love worn pieces with patina.”
