ENSUITE

Josipa wanted a bath that was neither too modern nor too traditional for the ensuite (above left), so selected the beautiful ‘Zen 1750’ freestanding bath from Samios Bathroom & Kitchen. The toilet and shower are concealed behind the wall, while Hamptons-style panelling gives a classic feel. Tumble-edged Croatian limestone tiles in a honed finish from the Outdoor Stone Centre keep the material mix sublime.

MUDROOM

The mudroom (above), positioned within the laundry, is a godsend for the family. “The boys’ sporting gear is kept in the laundry, so it makes sense to have somewhere for them to sit down to pull on their football boots,” says Josipa. Letter hooks by Lime Lifestyle are a quirky addition, teamed with an antique-style clock from Oz Design Furniture.

POWDER ROOM

This space, just off the pool room, may be small (left), but it packs a big style punch, thanks to the playful ‘Pilnik’ wallpaper from Wallpaper From The 70s. Italian Carrara marble benchtops add a touch of luxury, complemented by a mirror from Eden Gardens.

LAUNDRY

Wash zone a last-minute thought? Not in this home. “The laundry is often the most neglected room in the house,” says Josipa. “But we decided to make it bigger and include a mudroom.” Artisan ‘Winchester’ splashback tiles in Chocolate Sky from Stone3 create a hit of functional drama while honed French limestone floors continue the look from the ensuite. The ‘Victorian’ kitchen tap in Rubbed Bronze is by Belfast Sinks and the pendant light is from The White Bungalow.
