BATHROOM

Though Annaleena and Tuomas loved the home’s retro features, the bathroom (above left & below right) needed a refresh, which they achieved by covering the old pastel tiles with microcement. This textured grey finish is warmed by a vintage rug, the original wooden ceilings and a pair of Tapwell ‘Evo’ shower columns in Brass. CHILDREN’S ROOM Mint green wallpaper from Ferm Living marries beautifully with the red tones of the home’s timber ceilings and joinery, adding a sense of fun to the boys’ room (above right & below left). Annaleena found the Bumling lamp – a perfect colour match! – at an online second-hand market. It sits in harmony with other classics: an Artek table and chairs, and a String ‘Pocket’ shelf.
