Carly, a ballet teacher; her husband Gary, an accountant and business adviser; their children Jack, 10 and Scarlett, six; and Gigi, the chihuahua, Pixie, the fox terrier and Ellie, the cattle dog.

Best renovating advice?

Gary: “Don’t live through the renovation; either move out or don’t move in! It was great to be on site most days but be able to go home to a fully functioning house.” Did you agree on all the choices? Carly: “Thankfully we both love blue, so when we were choosing accent colours and soft furnishings with Leanne we were both drawn to the same options.” Favourite spot?

Carly: “Definitely the deck and the back garden.”
