THE ANNUAL HOME BEAUTIFUL STYLE FORECAST

has become a bit of an institution for the Home Beautiful team, and it’s something I look forward to each year. Obviously, I love it because we create such stunning images, but really, it’s the process that we all look forward to the most. It brings together every member of the Home Beautiful team, and the inspiration sessions are just the start: lots of stunning images, beautiful design pieces and passionate conversations about why each particular look will be loved just as much by our readers as us. We all come armed with ideas, colour swatches and new products we have discovered, and it all somehow seems to knit together so perfectly each year that everyone finds a real sense of themselves in each trend.

I thought for me this year it was all going to be about the warm sparkle of the metallic mixed with the moody, inky blues, which was the start of our ‘Bold Ambition’ trend. I was absolutely convinced that would be my favourite! But then I saw our ‘Homeward Bound’ trend, styled by HB senior stylist Rachel Peters and I instantly fell in love! Then stylist John Mangila took my breath away with ‘Refined Romance’ and completely inspired me to get a bit more adventurous with ‘Retro Pop’. So, now I officially have four favourite trends! The end result, I hope you’ll agree, is pages and pages of pure inspiration, coupled with some really practical tips for creating each look in your own home.
