WE LOVE... the wow wardrobe

-

One of the couple’s renovation goals was larger wardrobes, and Jess’s new dedicated dressing room more than fits the bill. The glamorous walk-in space, designed by Donna, has chic cabinetry by Wood Marble & White, a chandelier from Gypset Cargo and curtains in Mokum ‘Magnolia’ fabric in Magenta from James Dunlop Textiles. A custom ottoman is an elegant spot from which to sit and pick out shoes. For similar, try the ‘Taylor’ ottoman in Velvet Pink, from $590, Fenton & Fenton.

“WE WANTED ABBIE’S bedroom TO BE SPECIAL AND FOR IT TO grow WITH HER AS SHE GETS OLDER” ~ JESS

ENSUITE

“The bath and large marble tiles were a big splurge!” says Jess of the couple’s beautiful ensuite (top left). The ‘Napoli’ bath by Victoria & Albert, custom painted in black for extra drama, was an exercise in weightlifting for the builders to get it up to the top floor. But the exertion was worth it, with the luxurious tub now in prime position to take in the room’s superb ocean view. The marble tiles are Calacutta Ora tiles by Quantum Quartz. A ‘Ripple’ timber stool from Uniqwa adds an element of warmth.

MAIN BEDROOM

A corner of the main bedroom has been turned into a desk nook (left) with black cabinetry, which helps link the palette of the top floor with the bottom. The built-in joinery in Dulux Domino echoes the tones and materials found in the kitchen.

ABBIE’S ROOM

Oxygen Collection ‘Paloma’ wallpaper in Mint from Affordable Decorators lines the rear wall of six-year-old Abbie’s bedroom (top right), where a four-poster bed from Biku Furniture is a long-term fixture. “The second floor is almost entirely dedicated to the kids,” says Jess. “All their bedrooms and ensuites are here, and their play space is just outside their bedrooms also, so it works really well for us as a family.”
