Confession time: I love a peek inside someone else’s home (apparently I’m in the right job) – such as when your friends finish a reno or buy a new house and you get that first look at what they’ve done inside. It’s so much fun, seeing how people express their style, how their old furniture lives in their fresh space, what furniture pieces they invest in... But it’s even better when it’s a celebrity – someone you feel like you know. So we’ve dedicated ourselves to star power this month – and we get to see how the other half lives! Four of our favourite homegrown celebs and their families invited Home Beautiful to come and visit, and it is our incredible privilege to share their havens across these pages. From cricket legend Glenn McGrath and his wife, Sara, whose sophisticated coastal home showcases their curated collections, to

The Project’s Gorgi Coghlan, and the colourful country Victorian abode where she regularly hosts her colleagues (as well as family and friends), these homes, unsurprisingly, are joyful places of respite, as well as being incredibly stylish and inspiring. Plus, we’re stepping inside the homes of AFL footballer Tom Hawkins, and the NRL’s Benji and Zoe Marshall, each a beautiful and unique expression of family style. See them from page 44, with thanks to our Aussie celebrities for opening their doors.

As part of our celebrity issue, we also headed to Hollywood – literally! Features Editor Holly Byrne reported on, and from, the WeHo (West Hollywood) design precinct, and, we step inside the abodes of genuine Hollywood heroes – Diane Keaton and Patrick Dempsey, to name drop just a couple (page 32). And, as summer enters full swing, this issue is embracing the great outdoors. Our entertaining feature is a barbecue menu that will have you firing up the grill (page 179), and we have tips on summer survival for your garden, and also on how to be waterwise – essential information starting on page 171. Enjoy the issue!
