Jo: “Our bedroom. It is on the top level and looks straight out over the ocean with completely unimpeded views. You can sit up in bed and it’s like being on a boat.”

WHAT IS YOUR FAVOURITE PIECE?

“I love our antique French oak dining table.”

WHAT’S THE BEST THING ABOUT HAVING A BEACH HOUSE?

“The fact that it gives us away time with the family. We get here and it’s bare feet all-round, with everyone able to really relax and bond.”

1. An intricate Balinese bench purchased by the couple many years ago.

2. The glistening pool overlooks the ocean.

3. Brass candlesticks from Souq in Seminyak, Bali, “carried home in our check-in luggage”, says Jo.

4. An antique Balinese dresser commands attention alongside another beautiful find – a vintage armchair.

5. An outdoor shower is perfect for washing off sandy feet.
