THE CALILE HOTEL, BRISBANE

Showcasing a soothing palette of soft pinks, sandy beige and bright whites, this bathroom (above & below) is more reminiscent of a desert oasis than an urban setting. Inspired by the tropical styles typical of Miami, Palm Springs and Mexico City, architects at Richards & Spence complemented the palette with brass faucets, mirrors and towel railings. Timber furniture and cork panelling on the lower half of the walls provide a contrasting texture that softens hard surfaces. “And the large round bath looks superb from all angles,” says Ingrid Spence from Richards
