SHOP WATCH: think thornbury

After a tough year of lockdowns and border closures, it’s time to support your local independent retailer. Meet Melbourne’s Think Thornbury.

-

Tucked away on Thornbury’s High Street is a colourful and dreamy space created by husband and wife duo, Maggie May and Josh Kelly (pictured right with their son Remy), called Think Thornbury. It opened in 2017 as a gift destination filled with goodies from local creatives, and 2020 saw the pair take their shop online as an e-commerce platform to get them through Melbourne’s strict lockdown. Sadly, the couple suffered another blow when Josh was diagnosed with Hodgkin’s lymphoma. Determined to maintain a positive mindset, the pair has collaborated with other local creatives to launch four new Think Thornbury homewares products that inspire happiness and positive thinking. We think that’s a very good idea indeed! Visit 800 High Street, Thornbury, Victoria, or online at thinkthornbury.com.
