Alice: “It’s certainly made me much more interested in cooking and gardening, now that

I have a beautiful kitchen and garden!”

“Be clear about what you want and your budget – then expect to spend at least 10 per cent more. Also, use all the resources you can – magazines, Pinterest and design blogs.”

HOW DO YOU FIND VINTAGE PIECES?

“Discover your local auction houses, as well as vintage shops and markets. Gumtree and eBay can also be amazing.”
