A history of excellence in the kitchen: Sub-Zero and Wolf E&S

-

Sub-Zero and Wolf are dedicated to creating functional and flexible kitchens with appliances that offer a powerful combination of performance, design and dependability.

The entire ethos stems from Sub-Zero founder and gifted engineer Westye F. Bakke and his desire to develop reliable, high-performance home refrigeration that could store his diabetic son’s insulin. And so the brand was conceived. Since its inception in 1945, Sub-Zero has pioneered the science of home refrigeration, while transforming kitchen design with both built-in and integrated appliances.

In addition to refrigerators, Sub-Zero offers a suite of food preservation technologies that come in more sizes than any other brand, with infinite ways to customize.

Sub-Zero was the first company to offer a freezer with below-zero cooling capabilities, and today its refrigeration products also feature advanced air purification technology, which eliminates the ethylene gases omitted when fruits and vegetables ripen, ultimately prolonging the freshness of food.

Acquired by Sub-Zero in 2000, Wolf has an even longer heritage of innovation, with more than eighty years of expertise in commercial and domestic cooking appliances.

Renowned for its signature red oven knobs, the Wolf range includes convection steam ovens, modular cooktops, ventilation, warming drawers and outdoor grills.

Solidifying their place as design leaders, Sub-Zero and Wolf have, for more than twenty years, celebrated inspiring, innovative kitchen designs and their talented creators through their global Kitchen Design Contest, judged by a distinguished panel of designers and architects.

Sub-Zero and Wolf subject all products and parts to lab testing under extreme environmental conditions prior to shipment to ensure a lifespan of twenty years or more.

Experts in their own fields, the two distinguished brands are united by a single motivation: to develop kitchen equipment that will serve households beautifully not just for years, but for decades.

The Sub-Zero and Wolf brands have become synonymous with luxury living, not only for their impeccable, timeless design, but for the reliability and intuitive technology of their appliances – every detail is carefully considered. Sub-Zero and Wolf are available through E&S in Victoria.
