The architect’s touch: Falper’s sumptuous bathroom basins Rogerseller

-

The range of bathroom furnishings, bathtubs, washbasins and accessories from Italian manufacturer Falper is available in Australia through Rogerseller.

With an accomplished stable of internationally renowned designers including Bulgarian-born, Milan-based architect Victor Vasilev, Falper unites modern elegance with a passion for originality. Part of Vasilev’s contribution to the Falper catalogue is a series of bathroom basins including the Ala wall-mounted basin, the Wave wall-mounted basin and the Eccentrico collection.

Ala

Perched on a brushed stainless steel splashback, the Ala matt-white wall-mounted basin offers a host of unique design elements.

Measuring one metre across, the basin is only attached to the splashback, creating a beautiful floating effect. Echoing this aesthetic, the splashback features a trough into which the water gently cascades, like a waterfall.

The basin features a thin top with sloped edges that gently curves into a thicker supporting structure – an unmistakably unique silhouette that will be a hero in any contemporary space.

Wave

Available in five marble finishes, the Wave wall-mounted basin demonstrates how matter, inspiration and useability merge under the guidance of geometry. The contrast between the external squared lines and soft curve of the central downward slope is what gives Wave its name.

Eccentrico

Vasilev’s Eccentrico collection of counter and freestanding basins celebrates the geometry of the circle and creates a simple and refined dialogue between luxurious materials such as marble, timber, metal and Cristalplant.

Available in matt white or black marble, the round Eccentrico counter basin is mounted on a seemingly invisible raised surface, creating a floating effect, while a thin rim and sixty-millimetre depth contrast heavily against the five-hundred-and-sixty-millimetre diameter.

Eccentrico is also available as a freestanding basin in black marble, with an acacia pedestal and a steel towel bar that extends behind the pedestal and basin.

The basin, steel towel bar and pedestal are all available in a variety of finishes and are interchangeable to suit any aesthetic. Add a sculptural focal point to the bathroom with these captivating designs by architect Victor Vasilev for Falper, now available in Australia from Rogerseller.
