Rare took ad­van­tage of Nin­tendo’s ge­nius de­ci­sion to have four con­troller ports on the Nin­tendo 64 by mak­ing an equally ge­nius FPS that sup­ported four-player split-screen death­match. Ded­i­cated play­ers would af­fix strips of card­board to their TV screens so that play­ers couldn’t “cheat” by look­ing at their op­po­nents’ view to work out where they were in the level.
