To­wards the end of the SNES’ life­cy­cle and the 16bit era as a whole, Kondo still brought his Agame to Yoshi’s first solo ad­ven­ture. Along­side Miyamoto’s child­like, cray­on­paint­ing vis­ual style was Kondo’s equally play­ful music cap­tur­ing that same in­no­cent tone, al­beit with some tribal beats. While other SNES games also fea­tured in­cred­i­ble sound­tracks, it’s clear Kondo was just warm­ing up, and with each new gen­er­a­tion he was ready to keep rais­ing the bar.
