1 Refle ction

“I was intrigued by the contrast in colour and temperatures between the shadows and the more monochromatic lights. For this composition I decided to simplify the shapes as much as possible.”

2 Secre t

“In this piece I created volume and depth by wrapping highlighting strokes around the form. The coloured pencil was used for softer edges and transitions in the shadows, to help convey a sense of mystery.”

3 Sorcha

“I played with lost and found edges in this drawing. Edge control is the most valuable artistic tool to guide the viewer’s eye. Hard edges draw attention, while soft or lost edges give the eye a place to rest.”
