Detailing the focal point

I focus back on the face to perform another level of refinement. I want to make sure it reads in its emotion and enables the lighting to assist in that. I also rough in the base material of the suit to ensure its lighting works well against this overall warm background. It’s at this stage that I feel the painting has all the elements I need to work together and meld the visual narrative.
