Texturing: Photoshop
Once the base textures have been finalised, I collate them all into a single Photoshop file, splitting up my material groups to keep everything organised. Any final tweaks are made here (additional grunge, wear and tear, and so on) before the textures are exported as .tga files. The most commonly used textures are albedo (material colour information), gloss (how glossy a material is), specular (whether a material is non-metal and if not what type of metal it is) and normal map.
