Smudgy fingers inject gesture into the swirls

With smudgy fingers, thumbs and tissue I make the swirls more gestural, then using a kneadable eraser and grip eraser I further reshape them. Finally, I carry the swirls upward with compressed charcoal. We’re working with composition here as our eye will track from the dim foot toward the more contrasting torso.
