The mobile entertainment universe is expanding. Since the industry’s Big Bang singularity some decades ago, the car has been the traditional domain for the aftermarket audio installation. But the pursuit of quality audio is diversifying… stretching outwards into new galaxies where the car is no longer the exclusive environment for musical bliss. The options for OEM and vehicle-specific audio solutions are escalating, in particular in the large vehicle all-wheel-drive sector, and in the amount of choice both in terms of product and integration solutions. The gravitational pull there is strong...

Similarly, the accessories market – always a strong sector – is intensifying even further, with all-manner of aftermarket gadgetry being released to deal with such things as incar device charging, audio-associated parts upgrades and everything in between. So, in this issue you’ll see a new star in our firmament. A new section which will be a long-term fixture in our InCar universe. Introducing IN4WD. In this new division of the magazine we’ll be talking things off-road and the paraphernalia that comes along with that as well as a variety of related products and new gadget ideas. Some of those may be exclusive to the off-road sector while others will also span into the in-car universe.

So, once again, check the treads, buckle-up and let’s hit the trail…
