Acoustics That Take Us Towards Net-Zero

-

The world is evolving, with change being a fundamental part of our existence. But the change in climate is foremost among humanity’s top priorities. To tackle the shifting climate, we must first harness our emissions and aim for zero: a challenging but not impossible goal.

It is a fact that must be embraced by each individual and company that seeks a better future. It takes just one, however, to initiate change for the better: a pioneer to lead the rest. Autex Acoustics has taken the first bold step and laid down the groundwork.

“We are facing a carbon emergency; there’s never been a more pressing time to act on climate change,” says Bill Paton, Managing Director of Autex Acoustics Australia. And act Autex has.

Recently, Autex Acoustics has announced that it is the first in the interior acoustics industry to have balanced all carbon emissions from global business operations and acoustic products to zero.

It is admirable progress, and a significant milestone for Autex Acoustics, which has made the commitment to avoid, reduce and remove all carbon emissions going forward.

Autex Acoustics is no stranger to climate action and has a long history in sustainability, having been early adopters of Lifecycle Assessments back in 2010 and providing products and services that contribute to accolades of WELL, LEED, Green Star and Breem certification.

“Our focus for the future is to maintain our position as a carbon-neutral organisation offering carbon-neutral products. We aim to lead the industry to a more sustainable future in line with the UN’s target of reaching global net-zero by 2050,” Paton underlines. To achieve operational carbon neutrality and ensure products are carbon-neutral, a sharp eye and the courage of leadership is essential.

Behind the scenes, these words need action, actions Autex Acoustics deliver. Through the reduction of waste and improved efficiencies across every factor of production, neutrality has been more than achievable. To maintain this position raw materials to waste are reused and recycled to the highest standard of modernday expectations.

Autex Acoustics’ sustainability journey has become an inspiration to guide itself and the industry. Industry experts are engaged annually to verify its carbon status, and internally the team continues to monitor the embodied carbon of its products and reports the results through Environmental Product Declarations. With investments toward UN-certified carbon credits, Autex Acoustics contributes to projects reducing emissions worldwide.

Change cannot happen without a leader taking the first step, and by delivering on its promise of net-zero emissions, the future of Autex Acoustics aims to benefit us all.

Beautifully in step with interior aesthetics, Autex Acoustics are industry recognised as carbon neutral and at the forefront of making positive change.
