1. Outline and have your own terms and conditions for how you like to work with clients, including payment terms.

2. Ensure that a deposit is paid up-front before commencing any job. Stay on top of your accounts and don’t be afraid to chase for payments if they are delayed.

3. Utilise head office, it is there to provide support and assistance when required, and is a good resource for training and development.
