Gifts have been presented in a mix of brown and graphic wrapping paper with black ribbon, as well as traditional South African shweshwe fabric and African wax cloth fabric in the same tones. The textile wrapping is inspired by the Japanese practice of furoshiki: wrapping presents in textiles rather than paper.
