Who lives here: The Block favourites Kara and Kyal Demm­rich – now ap­pear­ing on Chan­nel Ten’s The Liv­ing Room and co-own­ers of Di­verse De­sign & Con­struct – and their 18-month-old son Ziya. Style of home: Once a dark and dated ’60s fi­bro shack on the NSW Cen­tral Coast, the prop­erty has been ex­tended and trans­formed into a con­tem­po­rary fam­ily home with light-drenched spa­ces, nat­u­ral ma­te­ri­als and a laid-back sense of style. The project took nine months from de­sign to com­ple­tion. The cost of the ren­o­va­tion was $$$$ ap­prox­i­mately $800,000.
