Inside Out (Australia)

Pampa’s handwoven rugs have a story to tell

All the way from the salt flflats and elevated plains of northern Argentina, the Puna weavers’ collection of rugs are sourced directly from the community where they are made – for a fair price. Showcasing geometric patterns representative of the mountainscapes and fifields, the combination of sheep’s and llama’s wool creates a soft, warm texture. Each rug bears unique variations in grain and colour, as well as the signature of the weaver. ‘Puna 0639’ rug, $1390/158cm x 200cm, Pampa,
