“You don’t have to match everything up”

“We weren’t too strict on matching up all the timber tones, but instead allowed them to highlight each of the features in their own way. For example, the looring was slightly darker than the joinery elements, and the external screens and fencing darker again. This layering of materials is complemented by the soft grey tones in the tiles and stones throughout.”
