Cabinetry can make something out of nothing at all

In this Sydney home, a few seldom-used square metres at the front have been semi-enclosed with a wonderful piece of joinery by the design team at Studio Quarters. Inside is a longed-for study space. Some parts of the painted unit have been left open to allow light and air to flow, and niches created to hold favourite pieces. And did we mention all the storage? Plus it’s been tonally matched to the nearby kitchen’s palette, making for a cohesive look from front door to back wall.
