How would you describe your art?

Figurative/impressionist-realism. Sometimes more abstract landscapes. It’s a long road and I’ve just started. What do you love most about painting? I love that moment when you are completely absorbed and you have no sense of time. I love going to paint outside and not knowing what I will paint. There’s something very pure about this process as the paintings have to be done so fast. I’ve heard it said that if your painting takes longer than 10 minutes, then you’re making it up as the light changes that fast. It’s true. Try painting a cloud; it moves and transforms before your eyes. I love the challenge of that. Where do you find inspiration? Friends. I have some really great friends who are artists, who ‘get me’ in a way that others don’t. Museums are also great, and there are just so many amazing painters online. Do you take commissions? Yes, I welcome them. What price range do you work in?

Between $100 and $750. Where can we buy your art? From my website. rosylloyd.com; @mrlloyd_art or @mrlloyd_onlocation
