WESTERN SYDNEY WANDERERS
The tight contest at the foot of the table last season saw the Western Sydney Wanderers sitting a place from the bottom, but within a whisker of much better. Freshly appointed coach Dan Barrett immediately made changes, bringing a host of Sydney FC players to the club in Leena Khamis, Kylie Ledbrook, Georgia Yeoman-Dale, Remy Siesmen and the returning Caitlin Cooper.
These additions to the squad will bring experience, especially to a forward line that was lacking goals, with Khamis and Siesmen both proven scorers in the league.
Further reinforcements at the club come in the form of their selection of internationals who will be spread across the park, with Lo’eau LaBonta (picutred) returning to the side’s midfield, her Utah Royals defender team-mate Sydney Miramontez and Ghanaian forward Elizabeth Addo all set for the new season.
The Wanderers will be seeking to find the right balance of experience and youth with a host of quality youth players. If the Wanderers are able to find chemistry early, the mixture of players will mean they’re a formidable outfit.
