Per­son­ally, early in a net ses­sion I’m just try­ing to set­tle in, try­ing to read the pitch and find out

what it’s do­ing; gauge the pace of the wicket and stuff like that ... ex­actly like you would in a game. I would do that for prob­a­bly the first 10-12 balls of the ses­sion. From there you’re pick­ing cer­tain balls which you could po­ten­tially at­tack, and then weigh­ing up other bowlers. I play the ball on its mer­its and re­spect each de­liv­ery. Every­one goes into the nets with a dif­fer­ent mind­set, but be­ing in the T20-fo­cused part of the sea­son, you’re go­ing to be more at­tack­ing in these ses­sions. It’s about read­ing what’s go­ing to hap­pen just a lit­tle bit ear­lier.
