Project for big voices

Joondalup Times - - STREET WATCH -

KNOWN as Australia’s largest children’s choir, One Big Voice returns this year.

The musical project is for students in years 3 to 6, culminating in the One Big Voice festival at Perth Arena in August.

For the first time, however, students going to high school this year who still want to be a part of One Big Voice, can join a new mini choir.

The OBV Choir started this month and is for students in years 6 to 8.

Cost is $150 per term, which includes weekly sessions, a practice CD, website access and other choir performances throughout the year.

The OBV Choir will then join thousands of other students to perform in the August festival at Perth Arena.

Committee member Kiki McCormack said they formed the mini choir in response to “many concerned parents and students” wanting to find a way to continue to be part of One Big Voice.
