Homeless solutions
AN extensive new report on homelessness in Australian capital cities will be released in Perth this week.
The State of Homelessness in Australia’s Cities: A Health and Social Cost Too High draws on more than 8600 interviews with homeless people and provides insight into their health and social needs and aspirations.
The report brings together evidence from seven years of Registry Week data collections by homelessness services and volunteers in cities including Perth and Fremantle.
Centre for Social Impact UWA director and lead author Professor Paul Flatau will deliver an overview of the report on April 12 at The Platform, which focuses on how to end WA homelessness using local data.
