PO­LICE charged four peo­ple af­ter a shoot­ing in­ci­dent at Kingsway City re­cently. A WA Po­lice spokes­woman said the in­ci­dent hap­pened about 9.40pm on April 7 in Madeley. She said in­ves­ti­ga­tions were con­tin­u­ing. “The oc­cu­pants of two ve­hi­cles met in the car park of a shop­ping cen­tre lo­cated on Hep­burn Av­enue,” she said. “It is al­leged that an oc­cu­pant in one ve­hi­cle fired a sin­gle shot at the other ve­hi­cle be­fore both ve­hi­cles left the area.“De­tec­tives were able to stop one ve­hi­cle on Hep­burn Av­enue in Maranga­roo and the five oc­cu­pants were taken into cus­tody. No one was in­jured dur­ing the shoot­ing. Po­lice al­legedly dis­cov­ered metham­phetamine when they searched the ve­hi­cle. Po­lice have charged a Maranga­roo man with drug pos­ses­sion and be­ing armed to cause fear. A Ber­tram man was charged with not hav­ing author­ity to drive and giv­ing false par­tic­u­lars. A Ber­tram woman (18) and a Tuart Hill man (27) were charged with drug of­fences.
