VIGILANCE CAN PREVENT CRIME

Joondalup Times - - STREET WATCH - - Senior Sergeant Simon Hazell

PREVENTING crime is easy. Be vigilant, lock up to protect your home and vehicles and talk to your neighbours about what’s happening in your street. Most importantly, report your observations to police or Crime Stoppers. Here is a list of the types of situations you should report:

A suspicious vehicle in your street that isn’t a delivery or service vehicle. Note the registration and report it to Crime Stoppers. You see suspicious people looking in homes and cars. You see cars coming and going from a house at all hours of the day. A Housing Authority premises has an increase in anti-social behaviour. Call the disruptive behaviour reporting line on 1300 597 076.
