Blaze damages service station
POLICE have charged a man over a fire in Girrawheen in the early morning of October 30.
About 12.30am, the man attempted to enter a service station on Marangaroo Drive. After being unable to get inside, he allegedly walked to the rear of the store and set fire to items inside a skip bin.
The Department of Fire and Emergency Services attended and the fire caused minor damage to the surrounding area.
Police charged a Greenwood man (35) with criminal damage by fire, attempted burglary with intent and stealing.
He is due to appear in Joondalup Magistrates Court on November 26.
Investigations into other fires in the area are continuing.
