MAR­KETS MOVE

The Joon­dalup Grow­ers Mar­ket have re­lo­cated from Cen­tral Park to the lawns at the rear of Lot­ter­ies House on Boas Av­enue. MU­SIC THER­APY

The Ro­tary Club of Joon­dalup will meet at Joon­dalup Re­sort’s Bistro38 on Mon­day, Novem­ber 19, from 6pm. Bright­wa­ter’s mu­sic and well­be­ing co-or­di­na­tor Hay­ley An­tipas will talk about why mu­sic is good for older adults’ cog­ni­tive and phys­i­cal well­be­ing, in­clud­ing those with de­men­tia and Parkin­son’s dis­ease.

POL­ISH EX­HI­BI­TION

The Time for He­roes ex­hi­bi­tion on the 100th an­niver­sary of Poland re­gain­ing in­de­pen­dence is on dis­play at Par­lia­ment House un­til Thurs­day, Novem­ber 15. The ex­hi­bi­tion com­mem­o­rates the sac­ri­fice and courage of Poles sav­ing Jews and tells the story of Cap­tain Wi­told Pilecki, who founded the un­der­ground or­gan­i­sa­tion at Auschwitz.

SO­CIAL SE­NIORS Se­niors wish­ing to re­main ac­tive and make friends can join the Alexan­der Heights Se­niors Cit­i­zens Club at 18 Linto Way. It meets twice a week on Tues­days and Thurs­days from 9.30am to 3pm and has a craft room and mem­bers play mahjong, card games, bil­liards and car­pet bowls. They also take part in so­cial evenings and day coach out­ings.
