SOR­RENTO res­i­dent Kira Mol­loy is one of six Curtin Univer­sity stu­dents selected for a schol­ar­ship that aims to de­velop knowl­edge of the Indo-Pa­cific re­gion. Ms Mol­loy is an hon­ours stu­dent study­ing a Bach­e­lor of Ad­vanced Sci­ence and ma­jor­ing in com­put­ing. She was selected for a 2019 New Colombo Plan schol­ar­ship. It will en­able her to live and work in Sin­ga­pore while study­ing at the Na­tional Univer­sity of Sin­ga­pore. “This schol­ar­ship pro­vides ex­cit­ing op­por­tu­ni­ties for the stu­dents to ex­pand their knowl­edge of the Indo-Pa­cific

re­gion, study at spe­cial­ist in­sti­tu­tions and de­velop their net­works within their field of study,” vice-chan­cel­lor Deb­o­rah Terry said.
