SEN­SORY FRIENDLY HOUR The City of Joon­dalup Leisure Cen­tre in Craigie will hold a sen­sory friendly hour for peo­ple with autism, sen­sory pro­cess­ing dif­fi­cul­ties and other dis­abil­i­ties on Fri­day, De­cem­ber 7, 1-2pm. Call 9400 4226.


The weekly Joon­dalup Grow­ers Market has moved from Cen­tral Park to the lawn at the rear of the Lot­ter­ies House build­ing on Boas Av­enue. It has stalls of­fer­ing fresh pro­duce as well as cof­fee and break­fast op­tions ev­ery Satur­day from 8am to noon. Call 0414 584 417.


The Dun­craig Ed­i­ble Gar­den will hold a party on Satur­day, De­cem­ber 8, from 9am to noon in the Dun­craig Li­brary fore­court. There will be ball games on the grass, a craft ta­ble to make gifts, face paint­ing for a gold coin do­na­tion, bis­cuits and oat­cakes for sale, a sausage siz­zle and other prod­ucts for sale.


Grace Church is host­ing Pad­bury Car­ols by Can­dle­light ser­vice on Satur­day, De­cem­ber 8, from 4.30pm to 8pm at For­rest Park. There will be chil­dren’s en­ter­tain­ment from Glass Slip­per En­ter­tain­ment and a mes­sage from Com­pas­sion Aus­tralia be­fore the church wor­ship band per­forms car­ols, joined by lo­cal Guides group. There will also be a bouncy cas­tle, ac­tiv­ity stalls and a visit from Santa.

MULLALOO MARKET True North Church will host The Block Mar­kets’ sec­ond Christ­mas market on Satur­day, De­cem­ber 8, from 5pm to 9pm at 19 Schap­pella Av­enue, Mullaloo. There will be food ven­dors, face paint­ing and out­door movie screen­ing of Arthur Christ­mas and Christ­mas spe­cials Shrek the

Halls and Merry Mada­gas­car.

CAR­OLS IN THE PARK The free fam­ily Car­ols in the Park event in Iluka, or­gan­ised by the Beau­maris Com­mu­nity Bap­tist Church, will be at Sir James McCusker Park from 5.30pm on Satur­day, De­cem­ber 8, with car­ols from 7.30pm. Chil­dren’s ac­tiv­i­ties will in­clude the Swan Val­ley Cud­dly An­i­mal Farm, a bouncy cas­tle and face paint­ing. There will also be a sausage siz­zle, pop­corn, fairy floss, ice­cream, soft drinks and cof­fee for sale.

CHRIST­MAS CEL­E­BRA­TION The an­nual Gir­radoola Com­mu­nity Christ­mas Cel­e­bra­tion will be on Sun­day, De­cem­ber 9, from 1pm at Rose­worth Pri­mary School Oval, Gir­rawheen.


The Car­ra­mar Com­mu­nity Christ­mas Car­ols will be on Sun­day, De­cem­ber 9, at St Stephen’s School, St Stephens Cres­cent, Tap­ping. There will be a free sausage siz­zle from 6pm and car­ols from 7pm.

TALK­ING POL­I­TICS Joon­dalup MLA Emily Hamil­ton will speak about her jour­ney into pol­i­tics at the Ro­tary Club of Joon­dalup meet­ing on Mon­day, De­cem­ber 10 from 6.30pm at Bistro38, Joon­dalup Re­sort in Connolly.
