Police probe home shooting
POLICE are still investigating after a 50-year-old man was shot in the chest during an incident in the lounge room of a Beldon home last Thursday.
It is understood the man who lives at the Lockeville Close residence suffered a non-fatal gunshot wound.
Police taped off the house and detectives and crime scene unit officers examined the scene.
Acting Inspector Eamon Flanagan said the shooter was known to the victim.
“We have several lines of inquiry... we’ve got several solid lines of inquiry as to who the person involved is,” he said.
“It appears to be an isolated incident within the address. Any incident involving firearms is treated very seriously.”
Acting Inspector Flanagan said last week the victim was receiving treatment in RPH.
