Face­book of­fers work­shop for busi­ness

Lo­cal small busi­nesses will have the chance to learn from some of the best in the in­dus­try when Face­book Aus­tralia hosts a se­ries of free work­shops in Kal­go­or­lie-Boul­der next month.

To­gether with the Small Busi­ness De­vel­op­ment Cor­po­ra­tion’s Busi­ness Lo­cal ser­vice, Face­book Aus­tralia is tak­ing its Com­mu­nity Boost pro­gram to small busi­ness own­ers across re­gional WA, in­clud­ing in the Gold­fields.

The pro­gram aims to help par­tic­i­pants learn the dig­i­tal skills needed to mar­ket a busi­ness and con­nect with cus­tomers us­ing Face­book and In­sta­gram.

The Kal­go­or­lie-Boul­der ses­sions will be pre­sented by free­lance marketing con­sul­tant Sher­ryn McBride, one of only eight independen­t train­ing pro­fes­sion­als across Aus­tralia and New Zealand qual­i­fied to de­liver the Com­mu­nity Boost pro­gram.

Face­book Aus­tralia will also present a work­shop for Abo­rig­i­nal and Tor­res Strait Is­lan­der busi­ness own­ers to help them max­imise the dig­i­tal po­ten­tial of their busi­nessrd through so­cial me­dia.

The work­shops will be on Oc­to­ber 8 and 9 at the Kal­go­or­lie-Boul­der Cham­ber of Com­merce and In­dus­try.
