Men sought over as­sault at jetty

ROCK­ING­HAM De­tec­tives are seek­ing in­for­ma­tion about an as­sault at a jetty on Val Street in Rock­ing­ham on Wed­nes­day morn­ing.

At 3.30am, a man in his 30s was ap­proached by two un­known men. They al­legedly as­saulted him and stole his car keys.

The man suf­fered fa­cial in­juries and was treated at Rock­ing­ham Hos­pi­tal for in­juries that were deemed non-life threat­en­ing.

The two men were last seen head­ing in a west­erly di­rec­tion along the Es­planade, Rock­ing­ham, with the stolen ve­hi­cle, a 2006 blue Mit­subishi Lancer.

The ve­hi­cle is fit­ted with roof racks and a cam­ou­flage coloured kayak was se­cured to the racks.
