STAFF at the Vin­nies Port Kennedy shop are cel­e­brat­ing the store’s se­cond birth­day.

St Vin­cent de Paul area man­ager Linda Rigney said the Port Kennedy vol­un­teers im­pact on the com­mu­nity, and their will­ing­ness to con­nect to peo­ple and help in any way was in­spir­ing.

Port Kennedy vol­un­teer Rozanne Baker said she got work sat­is­fac­tion and fel­low­ship with co-work­ers.

“It is a tremen­dous way to give back to the com­mu­nity be­cause I have re­ceived so much,” she said.

Vin­nies WA re­ceives 200 to 250 calls daily from in­di­vid­u­als and fam­i­lies seek­ing emer­gency as­sis­tance.
