Funds roll in for Billy
BILLY Cookson continues to make pleasing progress from his recent horrific crash and has been transferred from the Royal Melbourne Hospital to the Epworth hospital in Hawthorn as part of his rehabilitation.
While this has been happening fundraisers are continuing to assist the English cricketer, who was playing this season with the Kyabram Cricket Club.
In fact a former boss in England who runs a bricklaying business donated 50 pence (about 90 cents) for every brick his team of workers laid last Friday.
And on the home front a fundraising golf day is being organised by Kyabram Football Netball Club’s former president Peter Croxford for Sunday, December 16 at Valley View Golf Club.
The event will be an ambrose four ball with a $140 team entry or $35 for an individual entry. Entries can be made by contacting Brendan White on 0407 176 221 or via Facebook.
Peter said there would be excellent prizes as well as a monster raffle and nearest the pin and longest drive competitions.
