TWO local projects were granted funding through the responsive grants program at the most recent Campaspe Shire Council meeting held last week.

Kyabram Chamber of Commerce’s November Gala Night received $1000, while the 40th birthday celebrations of the Waranga News was granted the same amount.

The other two projects to receive funding were Strathallan Family Landcare to support the community bush dinner dance at the Strathallan Hall, and supporting Grace Moyle in representing Victoria as part of the Victorian U12 State Girls Cricket at the National Championships.

Cr Vicki Neele said council is always on the look out for local initiatives and programs to support.

‘‘There are four grants that have been approved here, again it’s the diversity of the projects that we support across the shire’’ she said. ‘‘I think it is interesting to see the things happening in and around Kyabram and supporting them,’’ she added.
