Carols to soundshell

Kyabram Free Press - - NEWS -

FOR the first time, Girgarre’s Community Christmas Carols will be held at the local Soundshell at the botanic gardens.

The carols will be held this Friday, starting at 7pm.

In previous years, the event has taken place inside the hall. But coordinator of the local community cottage Kezia Talbot said with the brilliant Soundshell on offer, it was too hard to turn down.

“It is a bit of a change this year but we hope by moving it out of the hall the event will continue to grow,” she said.

Santa will be in attendance to listen to local children’s Christmas lists and judge whether they have been naughty or nice.

Kezia said it would be greatly appreciated if everyone who is thinking of attending could bring a plate of supper along with them.

“We will also have a coffee cart, and a number of local artists to perform which is another change up from previous years,” she said.

Each of these bands and artists will rotate on and off the stage providing an intriguing and entertaining show.

The event is free, and all are welcome.
