Autumn in the air

THE coolest temperature so far this year was experienced on Wednesday morning of last week.

The mercury dipped to 7.8 degrees, the lowest minimum since December 1 last year when it bottomed at a quite chilly 7.1°C.

After experiencing 30°C-plus maximum temperatures for the first eight days of February with a peak of 39.5°C on Sunday, February 3, the maximum temperature then failed to make it over 30°C until last Friday.

And Friday (32.4°C), Saturday (34.6°C) and Sunday (35.3°C) were all over 30°C.
