Young Merryn was the belle of the ball
The pantomime Cinderella was performed in August 1968 by about 70 children who attended St David’s Presbyterian Sunday School. The children entertained a packed audience in the newly built Sunday School/kindergarten building in Unwin Street Kyabram.
The script was written and directed by Mrs Billie Griffiths and Mrs Pat Allan. It incorporated popular hit tunes of the time such as Sadie the Cleaning Lady and No Milk Today.
Mrs Griffiths painted the backdrops and the Sunday School Auxiliary ladies helped train the children and spent many hours making costumes.
The photographs were taken by Mr Murray Martin.
