Berrigan is booming

House price rises have been a boon for home sellers in country areas.

Statistics reveal house prices rose 17.7 per cent across regional Australia compared to state capitals, which had an average 12.4 per cent increase.

NSW country areas had the biggest increase at 21.1 per cent.

Up in the Berrigan Shire planning applications have increased 17 per cent since 2020, with a massive 51 per cent rise in average home prices.

In July alone the council received 34 planning permit applications.
