Vivid, KDHS join forces

- By Nicole Thomson

Vivid Work Crew has joined forces with Kyabram District Health Services (KDHS) to provide opportunities that support adults living with a disability with meaningful employment.

Vivid chief executive Scott Alexander said the partnership was a result of a renewed push from Vivid to unite with Kyabram residents living with a disability, and providing them with opportunities for paid participation in work duties.

Work Crew is the supported employment arm of Vivid's services, placing people with disabilities in paid employment.

"Vivid is excited to be further developing an ongoing relationship with KDHS which expands the service offering to supported employees engaged in Work Crew," Mr Alexander said.

Services Work Crew provides KDHS include general maintenance, window cleaning, garden maintenance and car washing.

KDHS chief executive Anne Mcevoy said a key priority for the Kyabram District Health Service was to work in partnership with community groups to respond to the needs of the community and improve health experiences and outcomes.

"Our relationship with Vivid provides a valuable prospect to achieving our goals by responding to a community need and supporting our local residents living with disability," Ms Mcevoy said.
